Frame by Frame: Young Animators Showcase

See a collection of short stop-motion films made by young animators at The Courthouse Gallery & Studios. In the lead-up to Cruinniú na nÓg, over three workshops children will work with artists to turn their own ideas into mini animations using frame-by-frame techniques. The group will explore storytelling, characters, movement and making, with room to try different creative approaches, from Lego and cut-out ideas to drawn and mixed-material animation. On Cruinniú day, the finished films will be screened for the public as part of the day’s programme at the gallery in a mini Film Festival. Expect imaginative worlds, playful stories and lots of creative surprises from a new generation of young film makers.
