Seomra Traidisiúnta

  • Workshop

Seomra Traidisiúnta is an immersive, creative programme for children and young people under the expert guidance of traditional singer & folklore collector Rachel Uí Fhaoláin (Ceol Mo Chroí) and digital storyteller John Ó Faoláin (Traditional Archive Channel).

In the weeks leading up to Cruinniú na nÓg 2026, John & Rachel will work with the pupils from St Joseph’s National School Co. Carlow. The children will actively engage in traditional song, folklore, culture & heritage. With hands-on learning with professional filming and audio equipment, the children will take a leading role in digital technology.

A number of short film pieces created by the children of St Joseph’s National School Co. Carlow will be premiered online as part of Cruinniú na nÓg 2026 – The National Day of Creativity for Children & Young People.
