Step Into the Story: Parthalán and the First Arrival

  • Reading

Step Into the Story: Parthalán and the First Arrival, will bring a high-energy, interactive storytelling session for children and families inspired by the myth of Parthalán and the early settling of Ireland.

This is not a passive storytelling experience, children will be invited to take part throughout, helping to shape the story as it unfolds through voices, movement, rhythm, and imagination.

We’ll explore the idea of arriving into a new land, meeting the unknown, and building a world together, with plenty of call-and-response, group participation, and playful engagement designed specifically for a festival outdoor setting.

Live storytelling, with live musical accompaniment, and of course plenty of play, humour, and imagination. This session is fast-paced, inclusive, and designed to connect children back into Irish mythology through fun, embodied storytelling.
