Workshop

“The Big Messy Makers Lab” is a series of three creative, hands-on workshops for children, culminating in a final event on Saturday 6 June 2026.

This project invites children to explore creativity through sensory-rich, open-ended messy play. Across the first two workshops, participants will engage with materials such as paint, clay, and natural elements, encouraging curiosity, imagination, and confidence through child-led exploration.

The final workshop will involve transforming the space into an interactive “Messy Makers Lab” with sensory play stations, a collaborative art wall, and nature-based creative activities. Children will be supported to explore, create, and contribute to a large-scale shared artwork.

The project is designed to be inclusive, accessible, and process-led, ensuring that all children can participate regardless of ability or experience. It emphasises creativity without pressure, allowing children to express themselves freely in a safe and supportive environment.
