Step into a world where spooky meets silly! The Scared and Scary Zombies is a hands‑on creative workshop inspired by the playful poem that turns creepy creatures into lovable characters.
Young creators will get to design their own zombie looks using safe special effects face paints, gelatin, and wax to make realistic scars, wounds, and eerie details. They’ll craft spooky costumes, zombie hands, and creepy props, then bring their characters to life using green screen magic and simple CGI tricks! Haunted forests, floating ghosts, spooky towns… if they can imagine it, they can create it.
This workshop shows that even the scariest monsters can have kind hearts and that spooky fun is for everyone. Perfect for budding filmmakers, storytellers, and any child who loves imaginative adventures.
By the end, we will have made a mini‑movie blending practical effects, costumes, and digital wizardry.
Bonus! The finished films will premiere in Ennistymon at the Courthouse Gallery & Studio Young Filmmakers Festival on June 6th as part of a special Cruinniú na nÓg film festival!
