Build a Catapult !

  • Workshop

Cruinniú na nÓg at home presents: Get ready for a hands-on STEM adventure where creativity meets engineering. In this fun and engaging activity, children will build their very own mini catapult using simple materials like lollipop sticks, rubber bands, a plastic bottle cap, and soft pom poms.

Young inventors will explore the basics of engineering and physics as they design, build, and test their catapult. How far can your pom pom fly? Can you change the design to launch it higher or farther? Through playful experimentation, children will learn about forces, motion, and problem-solving while having lots of fun.

This activity encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking—key skills for future scientists and engineers. Best of all, it’s easy to build at home with the materials and instructions provided in the kit.

Perfect for budding builders and curious minds, this STEM challenge invites kids to think like engineers and discover how small changes can make a big difference in how their catapult works.
