Cross‑Border Youth Theatre Collaboration – Cruinniú na nÓg 2026

Leitrim County Council presents an exciting new cross‑border youth theatre project for Cruinniú na nÓg 2026, created in partnership with Bruiser Theatre Company, The Dock Arts Centre, and youth theatre groups on both sides of the border. Supported by the Shared Island initiative, this project brings young people together to explore creativity, performance and shared cultural experience.

Participants will take part in a series of professionally led rehearsal workshops, developing acting skills, confidence and collaborative practice while building meaningful connections with their peers. The project culminates in two live performances over the Cruinniú na nÓg weekend, showcasing original theatre shaped and created by the young people themselves.

With The Dock’s expertise in technical production, safety and event management, the collaboration offers a high‑quality and supportive environment for emerging performers. This project celebrates youth creativity, strengthens cross‑border collaboration and empowers young people to imagine, create and perform together.

The young people taking part in this will be from Leitrim Youth theatre and Youth theatre groups in Northern Ireland. For more information please go to The Dock Arts centre webpage , in the coming weeks more info will be released on this exciting project !!
