Follow the Yellow Brick Road – Wizard of Oz Sensory Workshop

Rockwell Music Academy are delighted to be producing Wizard of Oz in June and as this coincides with Cruinniú na nÓg 2026 we would like to celebrate inclusivity and accessibility for all in our area to access the performing arts. Therefore, we have devised a one hour sensory experience whereby Neurodivergent teenagers can attend our set and actively engage with the story using various appropriate props and costumes along with the musical soundtrack and lights. This is an amazing opportunity to learn and be entertained by the buzz of real, live Theatre. Places are limited and the ratio of participant to tutor will be kept 2 to one. This allows us to be conducive to creating a safe and enjoyable environment that is not overwhelming and can be adjusted for constant self regulation.

The workshop will be aimed at young people aged 12–18 years, with a particular focus on neurodivergent teenagers and young people who benefit from sensory creative activities. This may include young people with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, dyslexia, dyspraxia or other neurodevelopmental differences who may prefer calmer, tactile and creative environments.
