The Bridgewater Little Explorers – Creative Arts & Discovery Project is designed to encourage children to develop their creativity while also learning from and enjoying the natural environment.
Children will participate in a special creative experience at Manyweathers Art Studio, Kilcash. They will take part in a guided woodland walk, safely foraging natural materials such as small branches, leaves, and other natural items to use in their creative work.
Children will create Bee Hotels and Insect Houses, helping them to understand biodiversity and the importance of protecting pollinators and wildlife. This activity combines creativity with environmental awareness.
The group will return to the Polyart Tunnel, where children will design and decorate their creations using additional art materials. They will also take part in a planting activity, potting their own herbs and creating small herb bouquets to take home, encouraging an interest in nature and gardening.
The day will focus on walking and outdoor exploration, creativity and artistic expression, teamwork and collaboration, and building confidence while connecting with nature.
Creative Art Competition & Community Mural
As part of the project, a Creative Art Competition will be organised. Winning designs will contribute to a community mural.
