Second Class pupils from St. Attracta’s NS have been busy exploring clay and creativity through a special project where each child created a unique self‑portrait tile, drawing their own features into soft clay using simple pottery tools. The finished pieces were then kiln‑fired, turning them into permanent ceramic artworks.

On Cruinniú na nÓg 2026, the children will exhibit their final pieces at Charlestown Arts Centre, where all the portraits come together in a colourful celebration of young creativity and making.
