A collaborative school art workshops project ,this initiative involved over 100 children from two local primary schools Scoil Réalt na Mara and Lauragh National School ,as well as members of the local Youth Club culminating in a sculptural trail and art installations that will be on display to the public for Cruinniú na nÓg.

The school art workshops were structured across three art stations: Glass Heart Installation (“Tunnel of Light”) school children decorated clear glass hearts using coloured glass frit and powder. These pieces were kiln-fused and will be permanently installed on an arched frame in the sensory area of the new Community Complex, forming a light-filled installation titled Tunnel of Light. 

The Clay Snail Trail- children created small snails from coiled clay. These were installed along the Community walkway as a gentle message from the children to adults: to slow down, take your time, and embrace a more mindful pace of life—“Be a snail.”

Community Mosaic -using crushed rock sourced from the foundations of the new full-sized 4G football pitch, each child contributed a small number of stones to a collective mosaic piece titled ”From Our Foundations”
